Talked about a huge matchup for two 1-0 teams heading into week 2.  Tom Brady is coming off a HUGE performance against the Dolphins but don’t count out the Chargers and Rivers.  Rivers also had a very good day against the Vikings going for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Look for these two teams to play at a post season tempo.

Chargers Projected Passing, Receiving, and Rushing Touchdowns

Philip Rivers continues to shine as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and for Fantasy Football owners.  He threw for over 300 yards against the Vikings, and this was with a Vincent Jackson 2 catches for 31 yards performance.  If Chad Henne was able to have a big day throwing against the Patriots, look for Rivers to do the same.  Gates will continue to be the focal point but look for the Chargers to get Jackson more involved.  Chargers Projections are Rivers having another big day throwing the ball, going for 300 and 2 touchdowns (Jackson 1, Gates 1).  Look for Tolbert to add 1 touchdown on the ground.  Mathews won’t score, but he’ll have around 30 yards on the ground and another 50 receiving.

Patriots Projected Passing, Receiving, and Rushing Touchdowns

Will Tom Brady put up another 500 yard performance?  NO, but look for Brady and the Patriots to have another big day moving the ball.  Brady does a great job of finding and getting the ball to the open receiver.  Look for the Patriots to try and get Chad Ochocinco more involved into the offense.  I would think that the Patriots will want to be a little more balanced on the offensive side of the ball.  Look for Brady to have a 300+ yard day to go along with 3 TD’s (1 to Welker, 1 Hernandez and 1 to Ochocinco).  Look for Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis to get 70-yards rushing and a score.

I sure hope 85 has a better outing this week – I don’t think my other receivers are going to set the world on fire (Hester and Maclin)
