Home team: Cleveland Browns

This matchup pits some of the most prolific 5-yard passers in the game today.  I like McCoy more than I do Henne, but neither gets me very excited.  Both of their offenses focus on dink and dunk passes and it becomes very hard to depend on any player in these schemes.

Browns Projected Passing, Receiving, and Rushing Touchdowns

Everyone was down on Peyton Hillis to start the year.  He was on the Madden cover, he was questionable before every game last year, blah, blah, blah.  He had a tough week 1 and put up a fine stat line against the Colts in week 2.  I like me some Hillis for 3 reasons.  1) He played at Arkansas with Felix Jones and Darren McFadden.  Sick team!  2) He catches a ton of balls out of the backfield.  3) He is like Kevin Mack on crack (I used to rap about Kevin Mack in the 80s and crack in the 90s – with Whitney Houston).  Wait, wasn’t Kevin Mack arrested for doing crack?  If Hillis has a rough week in the next few, that is a great time to buy low on him.  Outside of Hillis, there is no one else I would recommend using on this squad.  Not even Watson or Moore. We’re giving Hillis a rushing score in an offensive struggle.

Dolphins Projected Passing, Receiving, and Rushing Touchdowns

For the Fins, Marshall and Thomas are the two that I have even remote interest in.  If Heinkitz Velvet, Snowflake the dolphin, Roger Pedacter, and Ray Finkle still played for them, then I would buy big on them and the Dolphins in total.  You can’t have everything you want.  I really don’t like the idea of having any Fins on my team, and don’t, but if you do have either of Marshall or Thomas, this would be a good time to give them a shot.  Henne has a good rapport with Marshall and surprising to most, Thomas looks much, much better than Bush.  Reggie, you have fallen so far from the excitement you once brought to college football and the NFL. The Dolphins get two touchdowns, one from Daniel Thomas and one from a Chad Henne to Brandon Marshall connection.

To recap, the Brownies are going to pull this out by a safety.  I expect the score to be 16-14.  Not a lot of fantasy appeal.  Stick with Hillis and sit the rest.  And remember, laces out.
