Buy Low on Tight Ends in 2013 Fantasy Drafts

Brandon Meyers | fantasy football | sleeper | breakout

Eli Manning likes to throw to the tight end. Brandon Meyers should see an increase in receiving touchdowns.

It seemed like there was a renaissance happening at the tight end position. Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski were considered late first round fantasy football possibilities with Jason Witten, Vernon Davis, Tony Gonzalez, and Antonio Gates adding veteran star power at the position.

This year Gronkowski’s status is unknown, Graham slowed considerably in the second half of 2012, and no one else really has become a dominant force at the position. Instead player movement and emerging talent has this position primed for a “buy low” / value heavy approach at fantasy drafts. Free agency movement and young, emerging talent have pointed value back to the late middle rounds. Fantasy tight ends, we endorse drafting with the 7th round and later include: Brandon Meyers, Martellus Bennett, Kyle Rudolph, Jake Ballard, Jared Cook, and Dustin Keller.
