Home Team: Denver Broncos
The Broncos are thin at receiver. Brandon Lloyd and Eddie Royal missed last week’s game which allowed 2nd year receiver, Eric Decker to showcase what he can do. Look for Decker to get more looks from Orton even when Lloyd and Royal come back. Also, the Broncos finally starting running the ball like coach John Fox wants to with Willis McGahee. Look for McGahee to be the focal point when running the ball and overtake Moreno when he comes back (which could be this Sunday). The Titans will shut down the passing game and Orton will have 225 yards passing and 1-touchdown (Decker). Look for McGahee to get the load of carries and rack up 75 yards and 1-touchdown.
Will this be the week that Chris Johnson finally bounces back and puts up the numbers most fantasy owners expect? In week 1 the Broncos gave up 150 to McFadden but held Cedric Benson to 59 yards the next. Yes, I know their is a talent difference between the two running backs. The best thing for Chris Johnson is Hasselbeck is making the defenses respect the passing game. Look for the veteran quarterback to put up solid numbers with 2-touchdowns (Britt gets both touchdowns) and Chris Johnson might not break out, but I think he will continue to improve on his totals. CJ will go for 70 yards rushing 40 yards receiving but he will be held without a score for the third week in a row. Hasselbeck and Kenny Britt should have a field day in week 3 with no Champ Bailey. Projecting 100 and a touchdown for Kenny Britt and Nate Washington going 70 and a score.
