Home team: St. Louis Rams
The Rams seemed to be moving the ball through the air OK last Monday night as Sam Bradford passed for 331-yards against the Giants, but had to settle for field goals on most of the scoring drives. They’ll try to attack the Ravens defense though the air as well, as their running attack will probably be ineffective again. We’re projecting two passing scores for Sam Bradford, playing at home. One for Mike Sims-Walker and the other to Danario Alexander.
The Ravens we’re stymied last week as Joe Flacco and the Ravens probably suffered a week 2 let down after getting an emotional, big victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. When the offense is clicking, the Ravens boast a balanced team. We see a bounce back effort from Ray Rice on the ground, 1 TD and 100-total yards. Flacco, will have two passing touchdowns, one to the physical Boldin (we saw the muscular Nicks pick up a score last week v Rams). We’ll give a sleeper score to Torrey Smith as speedster Mario Manningham seemed to be open often against the Rams last week. That said, don’t go out and put Smith in the lineup. This is purely a long shot prediction (Aren’t they all sometimes?).
