The Tim Tebow hype is invading all walks of life, the NFL, Madison Avenue, Fantasy Football, and our Google AdWords PPC campaign.
Like a lot of web sites, we want to get more eye balls and page traffic, so we are running several PPC campaigns. One of them shows an interesting development. Our highest keyword search term, ‘Tim Tebow’, tied with ‘Fantasy Football’ for highest performing key word term or phrase. But who has the more efficient CPC? ‘Tim Tebow’ wins again at roughly .75 cents per click, while ‘Fantasy Football’ is roughly at $1.50. Without giving out too many deets, Tebow is also one of our highest organic searched term as well. So both paid and organic is getting owned by Tim Tebow mania.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Tebow momentum will continue to drive traffic for fantasy sites. Does he drop like a rock if he looks bad? Or will his news alerts continue to blow up on our mobile devices for at least 1 more week? Go ahead and Google ‘How to run a successful PPC campaign’ and you might just see Tim Tebow’s name somewhere on page 1.
